Antlia O-III 31 mm 4.5 nm EDGE is a professional astrophotographic filter with a transmission window half-width (FWHM) of 4.5 nm. It transmits light with a wavelength of 500.7 nm emitted by ionized oxygen atoms, the registration of which is particularly important when photographing emission nebulae.

This filter combines the ability to almost completely eliminate the undesirable component originating from sodium and mercury lamps with high transmission for the O-III spectral line, one of the most important from the point of view of astrophotography . It was made on a high-quality glass substrate, which minimizes the risk of internal reflections of light.

Antlia O-III 31 mm 4.5 nm EDGE is characterized by a steep course of the slopes of the transmission window and, unlike conventional broadband filters, it does not show a significant decrease in transmission resulting from the shift of the maximum transmission peak (CWL). This means that filters from the Antlia 4.5 nm EDGE family will be perfect for cooperation with telescopes with a wide range of light. According to the manufacturer's data, the results of the violet shift analysis confirm that these filters can be successfully used in optical systems with a maximum light intensity of f / 3.
